The Wind Studio is a Visual Storytelling studio focused on creating comics, books, and hand drawn animations that put Story First, and Artisanship second. Too many storytellers focus on making money, choosing to not take risks in hopes to maximize profits. Our model is to create stories that are incredibly well told, well drawn, and inspire you to take on another day no matter how hard it is. We believe in People over Profit, although that doesn’t mean we don’t try to earn money to then fund more stories to impact and help more people!

Our goal is to be a Pixar-level storytelling studio with a Ghibli-level hand drawn animation style. With every story getting the development and growth it needs so that when it ends up being in your home theatre or hands, you know its been polished and preened to being a masterpiece.

The Wind Studio is founded by Kaylah. An Oxford and University of Arizona graduate with a degree in Film and Television Production and over two decades of animation, storytelling, and professional illustration experience.

The story always comes first. Rather than trying to rush the story to meet deadlines, we want to take our time to make the best story possible. 

People are the reason for this company. So we focus on taking care of our employees, our viewers and communities over trying to make an extra buck. We may be profit, but we want to use that profit for people, not people for profit.

We keep striving to be the best we can at everything we do. Always pursuing to outdo ourselves and make ourselves better.

We are, at our core, proud craftsmen. Artisans who put our stamp on something only when we are satisfied with what we’ve created.

The best stories will not shy away from the realities of our world…every story we tell is written so that no matter how awful things are, we find and leave our viewers with a ray of hope in that situation.  Hopefully leaving them a bit more inspired to fight for a better future for one more day.
